Westbrooke [Kansas City community] : PLAID was commissioned to assist in the redevelopment study of an existing defunct strip-mall development in a Kansas City community. The study area was 32 acres and included infrastructure and topographic challenges. The proposed master plan includes multi-family housing, retail, medical, and specialty grocery uses. The new plan establishes clear vehicular circulation routes, pedestrian connectivity to promote a walkable community, enhanced stormwater strategies, streetscape amenities, and green space.
